Can you describe one work or project that is significant to your practice and provide details about the technology you used for it?

During the pandemic, I used YouTube to discover the open-source programs I needed for DJing through livestreams. I set up a powerful laptop equipped with a camera, allowing me to use Twitch, OBS, and Virtual DJ for my performances.

What typically encourages or motivates you to acquire a new (technological) skill?

Oh, there are so many influences, like specific occasions. For instance, during the pandemic, I reflected on how I could still connect with others from home. Inspiration often strikes when I see someone accomplishing something remarkable that resonates with me. Sometimes, it’s just a combination of an idea, opportunity, curiosity, and support from others that drives me to learn new skills.

What makes a good tutorial?

I value accessibility, the right tempo, and fun in my learning process. Many individual factors play a role, such as the voice and mood of the content. Sometimes, I only need a quick piece of information, while other times, I enjoy taking my time to watch a well-crafted tutorial that effectively conveys knowledge and experience in an engaging and original way.

What makes someone an expert?

Labels like "expert" or specific job titles have often made me feel insecure about trying new things and discussing them. They challenge me to reflect on my self-perception. I believe anyone can be considered an expert if they have gained experience, learned from their mistakes, practiced, and are willing to share their knowledge with others.
